ACCESS supporter,
I’m sure you have seen by now, Amy Coney Barrett has been confirmed to the Supreme Court of the United States….as 17 abortion cases alone sitting one step away from the Supreme Court. This should have never happened and we know that this means a harder fight for people who have abortions and believe in Reproductive Justice.
Become a Monthly Donor to ACCESS today as we fight for abortion access and so much more.
Judge Barrett’s record is clear: she will demolish abortion access, along with so much more. She now holds the power to eviscerate healthcare access and the immense gains made by the Affordable Care Act, LGBTQ+ liberation, economic justice, immigrant justice, environmental justice and so much more.
The legal right to abortion is at stake, but protecting that right is the FLOOR, not the ceiling. As an abortion fund and a Reproductive Justice organization, we have been advocating for a system that recognizes and allows our bodily autonomy and for us to determine how our families exist in the world.
As National Network of Abortion Funds Executive Director, Yamani Hernandez said earlier today, “You know that our power and safety have never come from the White House or the Supreme Court. They come from us: our love, our roots, our values, and our resistance. Abortion funds will do what we’ve always done: support people in navigating barriers to abortion, and creating a world where we care for each other.” ACCESS could not agree more.
We expressed our opposition to this sham confirmation by calling our Senators, and now, we ask you to express your opposition, and join a movement to care and support our communities by making a direct donation to ACCESS today.
ACCESS supporter, we are the ones we have been waiting for. Reproductive Justice requires us to fight for the values we believe in, with people who have our backs. Together, we have the power to ensure people who are targeted by Judge Barrett are able to access what they need. We’ve got this. Join us in pooling our resources and redistributing them across California as we continue the fight to make abortion access a reality.
In Solidarity,
Jessica Pinckney
Executive Director
