To allow time for radical, adequate rest and be able to come back in the new year recharged and ready as ever, ACCESS’s Office, including our Healthline program, will be closed from Monday, December 21st, 2020 through Friday, January 1st, 2021 (a full two weeks). We will not be responding to any incoming calls, emails, or online request forms until we are back online on Monday, January 4th, 2021. If you leave us a voicemail, send us an email, or submit an online support request form while we are on winter break, we will respond as soon as we’re able once we’re back online on January 4th.
If you need immediate funding assistance for your procedure, please contact the National Abortion Federation (NAF) at 1-800-772-9100. Please note that they will be closed from Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020 through Sunday, December 27th, 2020. It is helpful to already have an appointment booked at a clinic before you call NAF.
You may also qualify for Medi-Cal, which covers most or all of your procedure costs (CA residents only). To see if you are eligible, you can call or visit your local county human services office. If you are eligible, you’ll get a temporary identification card and will be able to get services until your enrollment is complete. Medi-Cal may also cover transportation needs to and from your appointment, so be sure to ask about non-medical transportation (NMT) or non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) when you’re at the human services office.
