A Busy and Urgent Week

As day three of hearings to determine Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation to the Supreme Court comes to a close, we are left with confirmation of what we’ve known all along – that our rights are on the line. For LGBTQ and non-binary people, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), young people, and anyone who can become pregnant and may seek abortion, an anti-choice Supreme Court is life threatening.

In less than one month, the Supreme Court will hear arguments in California v. Texas, a case brought in 2018 to overturn the Affordable Care Act. There are 17 abortion cases just one step away from the Supreme Court. Our work to stop this confirmation and protect abortion access can’t stop.

The clock is ticking for reproductive justice as we face one of the most important election days in our history. With so much on the line, we’re focused on the multifaceted issues of abortion access, racial justice, immigrant justice, economic equity, and LGBTQ+ liberation. We will fight for these core values every day until the election – and every day after the final ballot is counted.
